About Us
Brixton Inclusive is a unique and pioneering Lambeth based interdisciplinary arts organisation for 5-18 year olds (25 yrs if disabled).
Brixton Inclusive was established in 2004 as a Lambeth based Interdisciplinary, Inclusive Arts organisation for 5–19yr olds, and is led by our Artistic Director-renowned Playwright, Dramaturg – Amani Naphtali, together with our Board of Trustees and Patrons; Mr Neville Lawrence and Miss Cathy Tyson.
We run Performing Arts workshops for disabled and or disadvantaged children and youth in Drama, Dance, Music and Performance. Sessions are led by a team of practitioners experienced in Inclusive practice and techniques. We also work in partnership with Special Needs, Primary and Secondary Schools and Pupil Referral Units, successfully improving classroom behaviour.
We provide an accessible, enjoyable, safe space and engage children and young people in meaningful activity. We aim to break down cultural barriers, cultivating all young people’s creativity and potential, no matter what their ability or race, economic disadvantage or gender, encouraging team cohesion, equality and non judge-mental behaviour.
We run workshops for disabled / disadvantaged children and youth from Black and other minority groups in drama, dance and music, improvisation activities and performance related projects.
